Gotthard Pass

Today we took pictures in the Swiss Alps with drone footage at the Gotthard Pass. This legendary pass has been the most important north-south link in the Alps since the Middle Ages. After the opening of the motorway tunnel in 1980, the old route known as the Tremolastraße - still partly covered with granite cobblestones today - together with the Teufelsbrücke (Devil's Bridge) and Schöllenenschlucht (Schöllenen Gorge) have outstanding tourist significance. In wet weather, however, this route should be enjoyed with caution or avoided altogether, even though its routing is simply magnificent.

Motorcyclists like to use the Tremola on the Gotthard together with the Furka and Nufenen Passes for a tour over some of the most beautiful and highest mountain passes in the Swiss Confederation.
