Motivation in self-employment
Motivation in self-employment is crucial for productivity. I had to learn this the hard way myself at the beginning of my career. When talking to many of my business customers, I hear time and again that motivation for productivity is a common problem.
But let's be honest: who hasn't experienced the problem of procrastination? So here are five tips that can help you stay motivated and increase your productivity:

5 tips for more productivity
- Set clear goalsDefine clear and achievable goals for your company. These goals serve as a guide and source of motivation to organise your work in a meaningful way.
- Structured workplaceCreate a tidy and well-organised workplace that promotes concentration. A pleasant environment can increase your motivation.
- Time managementSet yourself schedules and deadlines to get your work done efficiently. Managing your time helps to minimise stress and increase your productivity.
- Reward systemReward yourself when you achieve your goals. This can help keep you motivated. Small rewards such as breaks, walks or tasty snacks can work wonders.
- Self-careTake care of your physical and mental health. Sport, a balanced diet and sufficient sleep help to keep your energy and motivation levels high.
Self-employment can be challenging, but with the right motivation and discipline, even the toughest challenges can be overcome. What is very important to me: Not being too hard on myself. I know that some days just call for rest and that's okay too.
