Branding photographer for fashion brands
2 February 2024

Branding photographer

Photographers are also content creators. The term, together with UGC creator, is usually reserved for models and influencers on social media. As a branding photographer together with my friend Eva and other models, I offer brands a huge advantage here: we shoot products such as clothing and jewellery with the concentrated power of professional models and high-quality equipment for exceptional content. Of course, we are in a different price bracket to normal UGC creators, but still significantly cheaper than a whole film set for a day's shooting. The last shoot of this kind was a very special task: content production for the spring collection in the depths of winter in Frankfurt.

“A reel is quickly made and a photo is quickly taken.” This is the general assumption of those who don't produce content themselves. What people quickly forget is that we also have to deal with trying on and ironing clothes in advance. The actual shoot also often takes days of preparation. For this shoot with Brax in particular, that was my biggest challenge as a branding photographer: choosing the locations in such a way that we could realise the required spring vibe. After all, we were shooting a spring collection here, and it doesn't look good in front of bare trees and grey January skies in Frankfurt.

Preparation of the brand shoot

The process of a shoot for a fashion brand with me as branding photographer sounds simple at first, but it's not. In the first step, we, or rather Model Eva SchugThe clothes are sent to the customer in two different sizes. After trying them on, we use the customer's details and the colour palette of the outfits to find locations that emphasise the requested vibe. If the clothes don't fit, we naturally have to send them back.

Along with the outfits comes the briefing, which differs considerably from customer to customer. For the pictures, it was particularly important to Brax that the outfits were always photographed as a full-body shot including shoes. In addition, the clothes not only have to fit perfectly, but also be ironed. It gets tricky when the garments have to remain wrinkle-free throughout the day of the shoot.

All pieces were to be presented exactly as intended in the cut. Brax also gave us a motto for each of the 5 requested videos. “Klicheé Adé: Linen is boring” and “Klicheé Adé: Power women don't wear flower power” were two of the mottos for our content that we were able to use as a guide.

Procedure of the shoot as a branding photographer

The morning of the shooting day is grey. 3 degrees, cloudy, showers on and off. The perfect day to shoot a spring collection #ironyoff. Hats off to Eva - she endured the whole day in summer clothes in low temperatures without complaining once. Besides Eva and me, we also had a lovely assistant with us on this shoot who helped us with the clothes. She also provided the popular behind-the-scenes content that you can see on my Instagram account. It may not sound like much, but 7 outfits is a lot to manage.

The first non-winter location was at Frankfurt's West Harbour, which scored points with its year-round planted buildings and bright backgrounds. The reflective walls saved us again and again throughout the shoot. They always made the overall impression look spring-like. At the next two locations in the West Harbour and at the old opera house, our focus was also on keeping the backgrounds bright and friendly. Another criterion: nothing should be so conspicuous that it could distract from the outfits. On this day, we shot a total of 6 hours of content with 7 outfits for 5 videos and took numerous pictures.

After the shoot

When the content is finally in the can after a long day of shooting, it's time for editing. The colours of the images need to be adjusted, in this case we worked a lot with warm colours afterwards to transform the German winter grey into spring light. The procurement of Gema-free music is another point that is often forgotten in content production. In the commercial marketing sector, Instagram audio cannot simply be used as it is. Unlike influencers, who have several correction loops where the customer can make suggestions for improvement, we only have one shooting day. So we film as much content as possible on that day in order to have a large selection.

What's particularly great is that the next shoot with me as branding photographer for the Brax summer collection will take place in Mallorca in spring. Then Eva won't have to freeze, I'll be on my favourite island and the client will also benefit from the almost perfect lighting conditions. A win-win situation for everyone, right? Branding photography is much easier on Mallorca, even in winter, thanks to the year-round mild climatic conditions. We will definitely keep this in mind for the shoot of the next spring collection. We've also shot on Mallorca for other companies, such as Lascana - Eva will be writing a report on this soon.

Photographer for coaches: Phototelling in the coaching world
29 January 2024

The coaching business is booming like never before. These days, business, wellness and life coaches are taking on the role of financial advisors, nutritionists and psychologists. However, the term "coach" is not legally protected. As a photographer for coaches, I have been working for years with people who are absolute specialists in their field with countless training and further education programmes.

Professional presentation on social media and the internet is becoming increasingly important, particularly due to this wide-ranging use of the term coaching. Professionalism and authenticity are becoming more and more important in order to differentiate yourself from other coaches in front of your target group. This is where the art of phototelling comes into play - a form of photography that not only takes photos, but also tells individual stories.

Photographer for coaches

Photographer for coaches: What is phototelling?

Phototelling is much more than capturing moments; it is the art of using images to tell stories. Of course, every picture tells a story in some way, but in phototelling, series of pictures are optimised by skilfully staging the subject. In contrast to snapshots, snapshots and conventional photo shoots that present a person or a brand, here we work with entire sequences of images.

Visual elements reflect the identity and message of a coach. In contrast to product-based offers, a coach must pay a great deal of attention to establishing an authentic and at the same time professional connection to the following on social media. The aim is to tell a story with which the audience can identify emotionally and thus create an authentic emotional connection with the viewer.

Dream clients are the people who themselves are the exact definition of the target group in marketing. Phototelling gives self-employed clients the chance to get a precise impression of the coach within a very short time through pictures. In the same way, lasting interest is aroused in the people for whom the offer is made. The more detailed and accurate the story is told, the more precise the customer base of followers will be.

Although I am not a coach myself, I am ultimately self-employed. On my website you will find the complete phototelling of my services and my lifestyle - business photography in Frankfurt and on Mallorca. People who can identify with the locations, the image style and my clothing style are my ideal clients. And that's exactly who I get in touch with through the pictures on my website.

Effect and area of application of phototelling

The impact of phototelling in the coaching world is multi-layered. By creating a visual identity, we give the coach an unmistakable personal touch. This is essential in the coaching business - the market is so oversaturated that clients often decide less on qualifications and more on likeability. Of course, coaching is all about interpersonal skills, but if you don't have the right core competences, likeability won't help. Through phototelling, we allow the communities on social media to choose not only according to first impressions, but also according to a realistic assessment of expertise.

Phototelling therefore supports the presentation of skills and expertise. Images that show the coach in action not only convey professional qualifications, but also their own passion for their work. In my case, this is often the camera or sometimes the laptop, my main tools as a photographer. This deliberate staging allows coaches to emphasise their personality and present themselves in a way that appeals to their target group. These images can be used on websites, in social media and in marketing materials.

Collaboration with storytelling

Phototelling and storytelling are both powerful tools that go hand in hand in digital marketing. The purpose of the image is to captivate the viewer and encourage them to study the caption on social media or the text on the website more closely. This text, in turn, serves as the hook that motivates potential customers to make an initial enquiry. As a photographer for coaches, I always work closely with my clients to emphasise their qualities through visual elements.

The demands on these images are therefore not just aesthetic in nature, and with each new shoot we take the time to understand the background and approach of the coaches. Images can show the coach in different contexts - during coaching, at seminars or in personal moments. This mix of visual elements creates a comprehensive narrative that fully portrays authenticity and professionalism. In addition, images can also serve as visual metaphors to emphasise certain concepts or messages.

Photographer for coaches: 3 simple ways to successful phototelling

1. define a clear message

Before starting the phototelling, it's okay to retreat to a quiet place for an hour with a piece of paper and pen. A clear message or story must be defined before you can even begin. A clear message helps to create focussed and meaningful photos in the right setting with suitable props. Questions that help are:

      • What emotions should be aroused in the viewer?
      • What objects do I need to carry out my coaching?
      • What is the nature of my service?
      • Which environment is best suited to emphasise my qualities?
      • Which target group do I want to address, what are their interests and how can I arouse them through outfit, props and location?
      • Is my personal brand based on a warm, professional, active or effective vibe?

2. picture series

Image series say more! Instead of individual images that are not in context with each other, series of images should be used to tell a complete story. The images should be arranged in a logical order in order to present a coherent storyline. For example, this could be a chronological illustration of the coach's core competencies or the overall process of the coaching programme in interaction with clients.

3. creative composition techniques

Creative composition techniques help to make images more appealing. In phototelling, there is infinite individual freedom to bring the unique elements of the coaching business to the fore. Playing with perspectives, frames, colours and light is very welcome here. Of course, as a photographer for coaches, I am here to support you with a mood board and image examples.

Phototelling is not just a marketing strategy, but an opportunity to communicate authentically and effectively directly with the target group. A well-chosen image says more than a caption on social media - and a whole series of images more than an entire website. In the world of coaching, where trust and authenticity play a crucial role, the art of phototelling is becoming an indispensable tool. Brand Shooting - Trends from brand photography 2024
21 January 2024

Along with technological progress, the world of brand communication has changed drastically in recent years. Alongside economic processes, one of the driving forces behind this change is visual aesthetics. As our political and interpersonal worldviews change, so does our view of what we perceive as beautiful. In this context, a brand shoot, i.e. photographing brands, presents me with challenges.

Visual content is no longer just an adornment, but a key component in shaping the brand image and creating a strong connection with the target audience. As a photographer, I have to follow the trends in brand photography closely - so here are my thoughts on what we can expect in the world of branding in 2024!

Brand shoot in Frankfurt am Main with model Eva Schug

What exactly is a brand shoot?

By “brand shoot” we mean a targeted process in photography in which the main aim is to visually represent and strengthen the image of a brand. This involves not only staging products, but also creating a holistic visual identity that embodies the values and messages of a brand. This includes the products, services, users and the company team itself.

However, the continuous increase in visual content in social media, on websites and in the entire digital landscape means that more and more video material is now being used alongside photos. If you only find static images on a fashion website today, it almost seems a bit old-fashioned. A sign of the urgency to follow current trends in brand photography.

Current trends in brand photography 2024

Brand photography is subject to constant change, influenced by cultural developments, design trends and, of course, user behaviour. Political developments and social trends are also reflected in the way brands present their products. In order to maintain an effective visual presence, it is essential to adapt to current trends in addition to the framework of your own brand identity in terms of colour, logos and style - a real balancing act in photography!

Colour palettes and styles

The choice of colours and photographic style play a central role in the visual identity of a brand. Across industries, there are certain colour trends that are particularly popular in brand photography. From bold, expressive colours to understated, minimalist palettes, each colour choice creates a specific emotional resonance with the viewer. In spring and summer 2024, the message from Fashion Week in New York and London is that we can look forward to colourful and positive pastel shades in fashion. The backgrounds and settings of brand photography will naturally adapt to these palettes.

In addition to the colours, the photographic style is also becoming increasingly important in brand shoots. Innovative design and creative visual concepts characterise modern brand images. From experimental approaches to unique staging, successful brands are increasingly focussing on visual originality to stand out from the crowd. In 2024, we will see more of unusual perspectives that show models from the bottom up, for example.

Authenticity and emotionality

A striking trend in brand photography is the transition from posed, staged images to authentic moments. Consumers are looking less for the perfect face or the perfect body and more for real stories of real people. Images that evoke emotions and tell stories by suggesting interpersonal connections create a deeper connection between brand and target group. Authentic depictions of people, products and experiences characterise the modern brand shoot and lend images greater credibility. We can certainly look forward to even more individualised campaigns this year.

Diversity and inclusivity

The demand for diversity and inclusivity, particularly in light of the LGBTQ movement, is increasingly reflected in brand photography. Brands are increasingly focussing on representing a wide range of people in their images. The positive response to inclusive brand imagery shows that diversity is not just an ethical obligation, but a business imperative. Inclusivity in brand photography means that people of different backgrounds and identities are reflected in the images, which will lead to a stronger identification with the brand in society without restrictions of social class and country of origin.

While in 2020 it was mainly very slim models in front of the camera, the trend is increasingly focussing on a wide range of human body shapes. Fashion and advertising are beginning to portray humanity as diverse as it is: curvy, slim, tall and short, with all different skin and eye colours. In female fashion in particular, so-called "problem areas" are finally being de-tabooed and accepted as a fundamental, naturally beautiful part of the female body.

Continuation of the trend

The trend in brand photography has been moving in this direction for years and 2024 will be another year in which old ideals of beauty will be broken down, allowing more inclusivity in the fashion world. While the clean girl look without make-up and with radiantly clear skin was still the order of the day in 2023, we can look forward to even more authentic portrayals in the beauty industry in 2024. This also includes small imperfections in the skin that everyone has, but which have not yet been shown in marketing.

The dynamic development in colour palettes, styles, the emphasis on authenticity and the demand for diversity is shaping current trends in brand photography and has a significant influence on the perception and acceptance of brands by their target groups. Rapid advances in technology have also revolutionised not only the way we communicate, but also brand photography itself. New technologies are opening up exciting possibilities for creating visual content and interacting with target groups - naturally another point that will accompany us as trendsetters in 2024.

Use of AI and image processing

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into brand photography has led to automated processes with impressive image quality. Automated image editing tools such as Midjourney or Leonardo use algorithms to improve image quality, make colour corrections and optimise overall aesthetics. This not only enables more efficient production of image material, but also a consistent visual identity across different platforms.

Some of the AI tools are already able to create all campaigns based on a few facial specifications, from unique filters to personalised effects. This allows brands to create their visual presence in an innovative and personalised way. For me as a photographer, this technology should be a threat - but I know that no machine can replace human collaboration and communication. If we photographers have to work with AI in the future, technology will not be able to replace us.

Interactive brand photography

In addition to video games and cinema films, the world of brand photography is also increasingly moving into the realm of interactivity. 360-degree photography allows viewers to see a product or scene from all angles: We can already see some of this on the well-known online shopping site ASOS, for example. This immersive experience not only creates an impressive visual experience, but also enables detailed viewing of products in order to make a more informed purchasing decision.

The use of augmented reality (AR) in brand photography opens up a whole new dimension. Brands can integrate digital elements into their images that allow consumers to experience products in their own homes before purchasing them, for example furniture, pictures and furnishings. This innovative combination of reality and digital elements creates an interactive experience that encourages purchasing decisions and reduces the cost of returns.

Technological innovations in brand photography not only offer more efficient work processes, but also open up creative horizons that were previously unthinkable. The fusion of AI, image processing and interactive elements takes visual communication for brands to a whole new level. Sensape has developed its very own artificial intelligence for this purpose, which, together with augmented reality, skilfully showcases brands and thus promotes customer loyalty in real-time interaction.

The practical application of brand photography becomes particularly tangible when we look at successful examples from the world of brand communication. These case studies offer insights into the effective implementation of visual strategies and provide inspiration for brands looking to strengthen their own visual identity.

Case studies of well-known brands

1. Nike: Storytelling through sports photography

Nike has established itself as a pioneer in the field of sports photography. The images not only tell of products, but also of positive and negative success stories relating to sport. Through powerful images that show athletes in action, Nike creates an emotional connection with the target group and firmly anchors the brand in the context of sport. The trends here are primarily moving in the direction of sustainability, with old shoes and items of clothing being recycled. Nike also features models from a wide range of clothing sizes in fresh, bright colours.

2. Apple: Minimalist aesthetics in product photos

Apple's minimalist product photography is a prime example of visual clarity. Through simple, clean lines and shapes in the composition of product and packaging, Apple not only emphasises the functions of its products, but also creates an aesthetic appeal. Visual consistency in product images helps to reinforce Apple's image as an innovative and stylish company. In particular, we see great progress towards AI and VR in 2024, with the Apple Vision Pro taking virtual reality away from pure gaming and towards broader applications such as education and coworking. How could it be otherwise, many of the pure product images here are AI-generated, with the photographic style of images with models adapting to the clear visual language.

3. Patagonia: naturalistic depiction of adventures

Patagonia uses brand photography to create an authentic connection to nature and outdoor adventures. Through images of adventurers in breathtaking landscapes, the brand not only conveys the quality of its outdoor products, but also emphasises its commitment to environmental protection and the preservation of nature. In the brand photography, this sustainability factor is deliberately emphasised by photographing the effects of global environmental pollution.

Future outlook: Expected developments in brand shootings

As we can see, brand photography is subject to continuous change, driven by technological advances, social changes and evolving aesthetic preferences. A look into the future reveals promising developments and potential trends that could shape brand photography in the coming years.

Sustainable brand photography

Patagonia as a pioneer shows us that the trend towards sustainability is far from having reached its peak. In a world that is increasingly concerned with environmental awareness, the importance of sustainable brand photography will grow. Natural environments, natural models and unembellished images of our environment will become more prevalent in photography. Brands will increasingly focus on environmentally friendly practices, be it in the selection of image motifs, the use of resource-saving production techniques or the emphasis on sustainability in the caption.

Integration of virtual reality in brand shoots

AI, VR and AR are still a long way from being fully developed. With the advancement of virtual reality technology, the integration of VR into brand photography will reach a new dimension. Consumers may be able to experience branded products in a virtual environment before they buy them. This immersive experience opens up unique opportunities for brands to present their products in an engaging way.

A look into the future of brand photography shows that the industry is facing exciting changes. By combining technology, sustainability and a clear focus on the human experience, brands can continue to build a strong visual presence to communicate messages effectively.

As a photographer, I also have to deal with the developments in brand photography for every brand shoot with my clients. In addition to photography itself, we have also learnt the techniques of videography over the years and offer professional drone photography as a supplement to brand shoots for private and corporate clients.

In keeping with the spirit of the times, I have also developed further in the direction of UGC content creation. Who knows what influence virtual reality & co. will have on my work in the field of brand shooting in the future - I'm definitely excited to see what developments will bring in 2024.

If you are interested in a brand shoot for yourself or your brand, then I look forward to receiving your enquiry. You are welcome to use the contact form or book a telephone appointment in the calendar. I look forward to realising your project.

Tips from a Mallorca photographer: The 10 best shooting locations
16 January 2024

As a Mallorca photographer, I naturally spend a lot of time travelling around the island on business. If you're on holiday on Mallorca, you usually want to take lots of great memories with you. Pictures are of course particularly suitable for this, as the island is more diverse than almost any other Mediterranean island. Although it is not the largest, it takes over an hour to drive across the island. So that you don't have to search too long, I have compiled the 10 best shooting locations here. This way, you are guaranteed to have particularly beautiful memories of Mallorca.

Tips from a Mallorca photographer: The 10 best shooting locations

Mallorca is no longer an insider tip and has been attracting visitors from all over the world for years. No longer just a place for beach holidays and relaxation, Mallorca is also home to more and more expats from all over the world. The island offers a remarkable variety of breathtaking backdrops that are perfect for photo shoots of all kinds. As a Mallorca photographer, I fulfilled my dream of having my own home on the island last year. But why is Mallorca such a sought-after destination for photographers and models?

The Mediterranean climate with over 300 days of sunshine a year forms the basis for an attractive shooting environment all year round. This is accompanied by long days, even well into September and October. The soft light of the setting sun can still be utilised to great effect. This is something that has always fascinated me about Mallorca: The light that makes both the surroundings and my subjects shine in a natural way.

But it's not just the long hours of sunshine that make Mallorca a paradise for photography. The island impresses with a remarkable variety of landscapes. From endless sandy beaches to dramatic cliffs and picturesque mountain villages. This versatility makes Mallorca a unique location that offers a wide range of possibilities for photo shoots.

Who is a shoot on Mallorca for?

From couples who want to capture their best moments in a romantic setting, to families looking for idyllic locations for souvenir photos. To successful self-employed people who want to capture the personal history of their company. Mallorca offers an equally suitable stage for every occasion and every motif.

Mallorca offers a wealth of inspiration for every model and every Mallorca photographer in search of artistic expression. The historic towns with their narrow streets, picturesque squares and magnificent buildings offer a rich cultural heritage as a backdrop for sophisticated shoots. This is why the fashion industry in particular has discovered the island for itself in recent years.

Finally, Mallorca also offers the perfect setting for companies and influencers looking for a stage for their brand identity. The elegance of the marinas, the exclusive luxury hotels or the bustling streets of the city of Palma are ideal for high-quality business shoots and visual content related to branding.

In short, for me as a Mallorca photographer, the island is a place that fulfils the needs and creative ambitions of a wide range of people.

Business and brand shoots

Over the years, my focus has increasingly shifted to business and brand shoots and now also to the creation of user-generated content (UGC). With the rich palette of backdrops that can capture the identity and message of companies in a fascinating way, I handle numerous shoots every year as a Mallorca photographer. From exclusive marinas to historic old towns, each setting tells a story and offers the opportunity to bring brands to life visually.

The focus on business shoots makes it possible to present products, services and companies in an environment that radiates elegance, sophistication and authenticity. These shoots emphasise professionalism and credibility in a natural environment to create an appealing image for potential customers on websites and other media.

My 10 most beautiful shooting spots on Mallorca

  1. Es Trenc: Mallorca's longest natural beach is often busy, but that doesn't make it any less beautiful. Located close to Campos, there are several small restaurants on the beach itself. The entrances, which are a little further away from the town, still always offer a quiet corner for photo shoots. This secluded beach with its golden sand dunes and crystal-clear water provides a picturesque backdrop for romantic, natural or adventurous shoots. So this spot is definitely worth a try!
  2. Valldemossa: Just 20 kilometres from Palma, the charming mountain village of Valldemossa impresses with its narrow streets, colourful flowers and historic stone houses. With just under 2,000 inhabitants, it is a little off the tourist hotspots - outside of the summer season! This allows an insight into the quieter and more authentic life of the islanders. For romantic shoots with a touch of nostalgia, the village offers a picturesque backdrop for artistic brand shoots.
  3. Cala Torta: The picturesque bay of Cala Torta, hidden in the north-east of Mallorcais a hidden treasure for photo shoots. The crystal-clear, azure blue water, surrounded by high cliffs and an unspoilt landscape, forms a natural stage for a variety of shots. The rustic beauty and romantic atmosphere provide an ideal backdrop for both adventurous, active and professional, elegant shoots. You are rarely disturbed by others here. Bonus: The golden rays of the sun over the blue water create a unique light, especially at sunset. Cala Torta is a place in the unspoilt wilderness that has often provided me with a rich backdrop for unique and unforgettable picture moments.
  4. Vineyards around Binissalem: The backdrop of Mallorca's vineyards is framed by the rugged slopes of the surrounding hills. With its rustic charm, not only the town itself but also the idyllic surroundings offer the perfect space for stylish, relaxed shoots. Binissalem, 22 kilometres from Palma, is therefore also known as the island's wine capital.
  5. Serra de Tramuntana: As a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the north-west of the island, this mountain range impresses with its steep cliffs, idyllic villages and beautiful views. With a total length of 87 kilometres, there are endless spots for photoshoots in an impressive landscape. The most famous viewpoint, and therefore unfortunately also the most visited, is the Mirador des Colmer 200 metres above the water. As one of Mallorca's most popular postcard motifs, I love shooting here. This is especially true at sunset - but only in the low season, when you have the spot to yourself.
  6. Port d'Andratx: Port d'Andratx is a harbour town that presents itself as the perfect shooting spot on Mallorca. The white yachts, calm waters and charming cafés give this place a luxurious atmosphere. The waterfront promenade and the Mediterranean architecture form an idyllic backdrop for stylish, high-quality shoots. A mixture of exclusive elegance and natural beauty makes this location a first-class choice for my business photo shoots. The slight contrast between exclusivity and the flair of Mediterranean life creates an interesting tension in the pictures. A dream location for stylish, high-quality shoots to capture the impression of elegance and sophistication that is often present on Mallorca. Many of my branding clients use this impression to emphasise their own professionalism and exclusivity.
  7. Deià: Deià, a picturesque mountain village on Mallorca, fascinates with its artistic atmosphere and mesmerising landscape. With its many streams fed by mountain springs, the village at the foot of Mount Teix overlooking the sea has always attracted artists and creatives. The charming stone houses, cobbled streets and lush gardens give this place a unique charm.
  8. Cap de Formentor: The drive along the almost 13-kilometre-long winding road from Port de Pollença alone makes this place worth a visit. Formentor, the spectacular peninsula in the north of Mallorca, reveals a majestic landscape for truly special photo shoots. The rugged cliffs that drop steeply into the turquoise blue sea form an impressive backdrop for unique shots. The lighthouse at the end of the peninsula offers a breathtaking panoramic view and is a characteristic highlight of this rocky headland. Cap de Formentor is a place of contrasts, where rugged nature meets the sea, which is not always calm, making for unforgettable shots in a breathtaking setting. My tip: the secluded Cala Figuera beach directly below.
  9. Palma's old town: One of my absolute favourites is definitely Palma's old town. With its narrow streets, historic buildings and hidden squares, it offers a versatile backdrop for a wide variety of shoots. This location is particularly popular with my clients for business shoots. The numerous cafés as well as the historic natural stone walls are ideal backdrops. For many self-employed people, Palma conveys exactly the mixture of professionalism and attitude to life that is needed to visually represent a successful and modern company.
  10. Cala Varques: Finally, in the east of the Balearic island, there is a hidden bay with unspoilt sand and clear water. We organise many model shoots here - perfect for natural or intimate shots. The rugged beauty offers a romantic backdrop far away from the hustle and bustle. Located directly in the nature reserve, this beach can be reached from Sales de Mallorca in just 4 kilometres. As with many other once deserted places on Mallorca, Cala Varques is no longer quite as unknown as it used to be, but it is still usually deserted in the low season. Ships often anchor here in summer. Nevertheless, there is no infrastructure on the beach, which makes it particularly important to handle plastic waste responsibly. To summarise, a great place that should be preserved.

10 tips for creative application photos
7 January 2024

Looking for ideas for creative application photos? In this article, I've put together the best tips that are super easy to implement and will directly enhance your photos. Of course, you don't have to use all the tips, but the more the better!

Application photos Frankfurt at Leandra Weber Photography

10 tips for creative application photos

1. appropriate dress code: For creative application photos, the outfit should never be underestimated. The outfit should always match the industry - from formal to creative, depending on the position. This also opens up room for individual expression. Wrinkle-free, well-fitting and with a certain feel-good factor, you should definitely pay double attention to your clothes.

2. use natural light: Natural light gives the photos a warm and friendly atmosphere that flatters every face. Working with natural light is worthwhile both for selfies and when working with the photographer. The following applies: Position yourself optimally for the existing light. This also means that the shoot must be well timed with sun and daylight.

3. practise facial expressions: What is more convincing than a relaxed and authentic facial expression?

Both a smile and a serious look should appear natural and authentic. I know exactly how difficult this is at the push of a button. Once the shoot date has been set, it's easy to practise facial expressions in front of the mirror every morning and every evening after brushing your teeth. A few minutes are enough to quickly feel comfortable with it.

4. attention to detail: Make sure you have well-groomed hair, suitable make-up and small details that give your appearance a professional touch. Powder against shiny spots is also part of this. As a photographer, I am also happy to offer advice - years of experience have shown me what works best.

5. poses and posture: Of course, creative application photos also depend on the subject. An upright posture immediately radiates more self-confidence. Even if only the upper body is shown in application photos, posture plays a decisive role. Here too, you can experiment with different poses in front of the mirror to find a natural and favourable position.

6. location and background: Choose a suitable location or a neutral background that does not distract from the main subject, namely you. As soon as I get to know my clients and their intention behind the shoot better after the first meeting, I am also available to help with suggestions. Both in Frankfurt and on Mallorca, there is the perfect set-up for everyone.

7 Preparation is everything: A shoot for just one picture is, in my opinion, hardly the best use of time. A photo shoot offers the opportunity to shoot with different outfits and expressions to have a wide choice. Job application photo shoots can easily be combined with personal branding and social media content. It is therefore advisable to consider in advance which outfits to bring and which locations to go to in order to capture the desired impression in the pictures.

8. communication with the photographer: Working with a professional photographer helps to realise your own vision in a clear and structured way. As well as taking the pictures, the photographer is also on hand to offer advice and years of experience to get the best out of every shoot. If the picture is needed at short notice, always think about the light, background and facial expressions in order to achieve a satisfactory result.

9. image processing with measure: This applies both to me as a photographer and to those who take photos themselves. Editing should always be subtle so as not to distort the image. Slight retouching of dark circles and skin blemishes and subtle brightening of the light should be the maximum.

10. storytelling through image composition: Use image composition to tell a story. Choose interesting perspectives, frames and backgrounds to subtly bring in personality, skills or passions. For example, depending on the industry, this could be a natural background or a professional set-up. A carefully considered composition can create an intuitive connection between the applicant and the potential employer. Ultimately, the aim is to emphasise uniqueness and value for the company. Classic application photos can also be enhanced with certain components.

Shooting guide by a photographer Frankfurt: The perfect preparation for a photo shoot
2 January 2024

The one question I hear most often from all my clients: What's the best way to prepare for a photo shoot? Although I have always taken photos myself, I remember my first moment in front of the camera only too well. To this day, I still feel more comfortable in my role as a photographer in Frankfurt than in front of the camera itself. Unfortunately, when you're self-employed, it's hard to avoid being in front of the camera yourself from time to time. Of course, I also need regular content for my website and social media.

In the meantime, however, I can also gain a lot from my own shoots. Over the last few years, I have learnt that good preparation, both with clients and with myself, is essential for the success of the shoot. After all, a photo shoot with a professional photographer offers the opportunity to tell a personal story, present a brand or capture important moments in life. My shoots are not a one-size-fits-it-all solution, but customised approaches for the unique requirements of each client.

However, the key to impressive photos lies not only in the expertise of the photographer, but also in the preparation. This guide takes you through the essential steps to optimally prepare for an upcoming photo shoot. From the vision and no-gos to personal preparation on the day of the shoot - these steps will help you get the best out of a session with my Frankfurt photographer.

Why do a photo shoot at all?

The second most common question that comes from (still) non-customers is: Why invest in a professional photo shoot at all? You've been getting by just fine for years with a selfie camera and a small tripod for your mobile phone. It's simple: a perfect set-up with location and outfit, lighting and post-processing leave a much more trustworthy impression than self-taken pictures. Especially for marketing, branding and professional presentation on the Internet, high-quality images are now an indispensable part of the recipe for success.

A photo shoot with a professional photographer is an investment in quality, creativity and years of experience. Professionals not only understand the technique behind photography, but also the art of capturing moments and telling brand stories through skilful image compositions. I also aim to create a pleasant and professional atmosphere. Photographers are on hand to offer advice before, during and after the shoot. What has always helped me a lot is advice on poses and facial expressions, which is why I prioritise communication with the model in every shoot so that my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera. The result is natural and authentic shots that reflect the unique personality of the model or brand.

A photographer is first and foremost a creative partner who develops and implements ideas that emphasise and highlight the intention of the shoot. With experience and expertise, concepts are created that fit the client's identity and message. A professional shoot with me as a photographer in Frankfurt is an investment in the future that tells the story of a brand and conveys emotions through high-quality images.

For those who are completely new to photo shoots, the third question that often arises is how a shoot actually works. A professional photo shoot follows a structured process that can vary depending on the type of shoot and the individual requirements of the client. Here is the typical structure that determines the process of most of my shoots.

Procedure of a shoot

  1. Getting to know each other: After the first Contact us we will have a telephone conversation to discuss the general intentions for the shoot and agree on a date. Desired poses, styles and other specific requirements are discussed here.
  2. Preparation and planning: Before the actual shoot begins, thorough preparation takes place. This includes the exact definition of the shooting goal, the planning of location, time and required equipment. Communication with the customer regarding their expectations and preferences is an essential part of this phase, which ends with the creation of an individual mood board for each customer.
  3. Arrival and set-up: On the day of the shoot, the team, including photographer, and if available, assistants and make-up artists, will meet with the client. Should the shoot take place in the studio, although unlikely for me as a big outdoor fan: Setting up the equipment and aligning the lights and backgrounds to create the desired atmosphere and mood.
  4. Welcome and briefing: The photographer welcomes the model or client, discusses the shooting schedule and clarifies the final details.
  5. Realisation of the shoot: The actual photo session begins. The photographer guides the model or client through various poses, instructions and scenes. Different shots are taken to obtain variations and fulfil different requirements.
  6. Breaks and adjustments: Of course, we take small breaks for adjustments to clothing, make-up or settings to ensure that everything goes perfectly.
  7. Image selection: Once the shoot is complete, the images are selected from the RAW format. The photographer and the client jointly select the best shots, which are then edited and retouched.
  8. Image editing and delivery: The selected photos are edited to achieve the desired look and style. After editing, I deliver the final images to the client in the agreed format.

The shooting guide of a photographer Frankfurt:

1. clear vision and goals

What is noted in the shoot schedule as preparation and planning is a shared task between the photographer and the client. Before the shoot is even scheduled, the vision for the photo shoot must be created. Think about this: What kind of photos are needed for what purposes? Is it for a website, LinkedIn, Instagram or sedcard? Clear goals help to define expectations.

Whether for websites, social media, marketing materials or personal use, it's worth considering which image you want to convey - professional, playful or elegant. This also includes the definition of a specific type of image: Portraits, product photos, team photos, etc. This also results in the definition of the number of images and formats: high-resolution, square for Instagram or special layouts for adverts.

Ultimately, this step should create clarity in order to facilitate communication with me. The more precisely the vision and goals are communicated, the better I can adapt to the requirements of my customers in order to fulfil their expectations. They serve as a guide for conveying the brand identity and personality.

2. communication with the photographer

All clearly defined visions and goals must of course be communicated to me afterwards. However, the open dialogue with me does not stop after the initial discussions. Ongoing open communication is, as pretty much everywhere in life, the key to the successful realisation of the project.

Discussing the vision, style, location, timing and specific requirements is crucial to making the photo shoot a success. The more extensive the input, the more specifically I can adapt the shoot to the target group and individual brand concepts in the desired visual language. This is also the point at which we discuss specific details such as the location of the shoot, the date and time and any individual requirements. If you have a specific idea of the image composition, lighting or colour palette, this should also be communicated here.

Just as I need to understand the approach and wishes of my clients, the client should also have a good understanding of my way of working. Only then can we decide together whether we are a good match for a shoot. The workflow, possible breaks or changes during the shoot should also be discussed. Also very important: clarification regarding image utilisation, processing time and scope of delivery as well as the format of the final images.

Through open dialogue, we create mutual trust and a clear direction, thus minimising misunderstandings during the shoot and afterwards. Comprehensive communication lays the foundation for a harmonious and productive photo shoot. As far as planning is concerned, in addition to my "home base" as a photographer in Frankfurt, I can also offer shoots in Mallorca. Of course, this option can always be discussed in advance, but of course it requires completely different planning.

3. hairdresser and beauty appointments

The more comfortable someone feels in their own skin, the more likely this feeling will be reflected in their images. Getting enough sleep to feel fresh and rested is just as important as scheduling hair and beauty appointments on time. Hydration also plays an important role - drink enough water to hydrate your skin for a healthy glow naturally.

Depending on the type of shoot, the desired look can be optimised with an appointment with a hairdresser or make-up artist. Professional styling can help to perfect the appearance and convey the desired image. Above all, you simply feel more comfortable in front of the camera - and that shows in the pictures with me as your photographer Frankfurt.

Personal skincare and make-up products can also always be brought along in case touch-ups are needed during the shoot. My tip: Natural or neutral make-up looks are often timeless and versatile, especially when different outfits are worn. The bottom line: attitude and self-confidence in front of the camera have a significant influence on the results for the better.

4. preparation of clothing, make-up and accessories

Outfits should correspond to the brand identity and match the desired visual language, especially for branding shoots. Depending on how long our shoot will last, it is worth planning different outfits to ensure versatility. It is also important that the outfits match the respective location. As a photographer in Frankfurt, I have done countless shoots in the city and have sample images of every location, which makes it easier to choose the perfect locations.

You are welcome to discuss the colour choice of the outfit with me, especially that it matches the mood board and the general direction of the shoot. The choice of clothing and accessories is crucial for the visual expression of your photo shoot. Very important: ironed and well-fitting clothes. Ill-fitting clothing is extremely difficult to retouch and simply does not look professional, to say the least.

Garments should be chosen to reflect the aesthetic of the brand in question. Try your outfits on in advance to make sure they fit well and make you feel confident. Practising poses in front of the mirror in the appropriate outfits helps, but I always recommend not overdoing it. In the dynamics of the actual shoot, I give enough guidance that practising is not necessary.

When it comes to make-up, I always like to recommend powder to prevent shine. On the one hand, this is easier for me to handle when touching up, and on the other hand, my clients generally feel more comfortable when their forehead, nose and cheeks are protected against shine.

5. personal preparation and relaxation

The most important thing for me is to arrive at the photo shoot feeling rested and relaxed. This includes a certain aspect of mental preparation. For me, these are small moments of focus in the days leading up to the shoot, in which I visualise exactly how the shoot will go in the best-case scenario.

Personal preparation before a photo shoot is just as important as all other aspects. Start the day of the shoot calm and rested. Get enough sleep and eat a healthy meal full of fibre so that you are full of energy without feeling bloated. When travelling, wear clothes that are easy to change into and do not leave pressure marks.

During the shoot, deep breaths into your stomach help to nip any nervousness in the bud. This is reflected in the pictures with a relaxed posture and a relaxed facial expression. During the shoot itself, my clients can rely entirely on my instructions. The only task: authentic expression in a relaxed atmosphere.

A well-prepared photo shoot can take a brand image for freelancers or personal portfolio for models to a whole new level. With these tips, you can get the most out of your time with me as your photographer Frankfurt. If you want to capture the story of your self-employment or modelling career in first-class images: the beauty of Mallorca or the vibrant backdrop of Frankfurt are available as your photo location.

16 marketing strategies for the self-employed
31 December 2023

Unfortunately for many self-employed people, marketing is an unavoidable part of business. Especially when you don't yet have your own customer base in the initial phase, it is essential to position yourself in an appealing and professional way. Having worked in the commercial sector before becoming a photographer, I know exactly how hard it can be to win your first clients. For example, before my first Mallorca photo shoot, I first had to acquire my first clients in Germany.

Back then, I would have liked a guide that showed me different strategies. Today, 10 years later, I have summarised just such a guide based on my experience over the last few years. From website to SEO and social media to cold calling and my idea for a Mallorca photo shoot - here are 16 strategies that, individually and in combination, ensure both the first customers and a steady stream of new enquiries.

Marketing - a priority for the self-employed

Before we go through the best marketing strategies for the self-employed, here's a little input from me: marketing should not only be a constant priority at the beginning, but also in the first few years. Logos, colours and the tone in writing and images must first be defined in a corporate brand identity - the heart of every brand that clearly communicates values, goals and unique selling points.

If these are adapted to the target group, potential customers are repeatedly brought into contact with the benefits of a product or service and recognise the brand again and again based on the simplest features. That is branding. Brands also change over time, of course. Just as we change as people, so does society with its trends and preferences.

However, it is not a bad thing to adapt certain points. Marketing must always be tailored to the target group and needs are also subject to constant change. The only important thing is to consistently implement the adapted strategies. My appeal here is: A watertight brand identity and a constant eye on the target group are the basis of any successful marketing strategy, which also comes with visual appeal through a Mallorca photo shoot, for example.

1. presence on social media

LinkedIn for self-employed people in the B2B sector, Instagram for lifestyle products and services and Facebook for online courses and digital products. A strong presence on social media is essential. Profiles should be created on relevant platforms based on the corporate brand identity. Of course, which ones these are changes from time to time over the course of time. With regular maintenance and interaction with the target group, these platforms can develop into a strong business base over the years, even with a small workload. Stay tuned - consistency is key.

2. cross-optimised content marketing

Content marketing is about sharing valuable content across platforms with the aim of directing the target group to a main channel. This could be a website to book a call or a funnel to sell a product. Creating blogs, videos, infographics and other relevant information that helps the audience solve problems, impart knowledge or spark graphic interest positions freelancers as experts in the niche. This builds trust, which always has a positive effect on business relationships. Ultimately, however, cross-content marketing for services should always aim to direct followers to the website.

3. e-mail marketing

Old-school, but worthwhile for everyone. Email marketing is a powerful tool for the self-employed. Regular newsletters promote customer loyalty, share offers and present expertise. It enables direct and repeated communication with the audience. That's why it's important right from the start: Collect email addresses and store them in a database. This can be done via push-up notifications on the website or via social media.

4. SEO optimisation

A website is the digital shop window of every company, but it doesn't achieve much without traffic. SEO optimisation is crucial for visibility. This means improving your website with relevant keywords, high-quality content and technical optimisations. A well-optimised website increases the chances of being found in search engines and being able to better address potential customers.

5. networking

Networking is essential, both online and offline. Not only future clients, but also relationships with colleagues and other freelancers need to be cultivated. Especially in the marketing industry, different freelancers from the fields of content marketing, SEO, sales and graphic design can work together excellently. This makes it much easier to tackle larger projects together. Platforms such as LinkedIn are predestined for building such a network and creating valuable connections.

6. testimonials

People trust nothing more than the opinions of others. Authentic customer reviews are priceless. Satisfied customers should always be actively encouraged to leave reviews. Positive reviews strengthen the trust of potential new customers and improve a brand's credibility on various platforms. Reviews can be placed visibly on the website, on social media and even on flyers etc.

7. guest contributions

Guest posts are a powerful way to showcase expertise and generate backlinks at the same time. They are also a great opportunity to showcase expertise to a new audience. For this, Google is a valuable tool to find blogs in the same industry. Those responsible can be easily contacted in the imprint and are often happy to exchange guest posts. Incidentally, this not only applies to bloggers, but also to Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook. Joining forces with other self-employed people to produce content undoubtedly ensures a greater reach on every platform.

8. influencer marketing

Influencer marketing uses people with industry influence to present products or services to a much larger audience. Carefully selected, self-employed people can reach exactly the target group they want by collaborating with such individuals. This strategy utilises the credibility and reach of influencers to increase brand awareness and appeal to potential customers. These do not necessarily have to be accounts with millions of followers - micro-influencers are often the better choice. These can be easily found via the respective social media platform and the corresponding keywords.

9. paid ads

Paid advertising is highly recommended in the initial phase or if the business is to be taken to the next level. More specifically, the use of pay-per-click advertising for targeted adverts on platforms such as Google or Facebook. By skilfully targeting and adapting the ads to the needs of the target group, interests can be effectively aroused and conversions increased. The Facebook Business Suite is now so user-friendly that small campaigns often no longer require a specialist.

10. offline marketing

Yes, we live in a digital world, but online marketing is not everything. The use of a variety of offline marketing strategies such as flyers, brochures and adverts in local media is particularly worthwhile for established local businesses. These traditional methods reach a targeted local audience and complement online presence by reaching potential customers outside of the digital space, thus strengthening a brand. Business cards are also a way of offline marketing and a great way to elegantly pass on your own contact details.

11. podcasts

Podcasts are a powerful tool for the self-employed. Participating as a guest or starting your own podcast offers a wide reach and establishes expertise. Valuable content can reach a wide audience and help build a brand without having to rely on direct advertising.

12. website optimisation

Your own website is the flagship of any marketing strategy. However, just having one is not enough, as a website needs to be constantly maintained and kept up to date. User-friendly navigation, fast loading times and relevant content improve the user experience. SEO techniques and clear call-to-actions increase the conversion rate. Informative and easily accessible, the website can serve as an optimised online platform for potential customers and their automated acquisition.

13. continuous target group analysis

Precise targeting is crucial for successful marketing. Of course, this should be the first step before even starting the business. Nevertheless, the target group, its needs and behaviour should be analysed regularly online. Clear characteristics of potential customers should be analysed as part of a so-called buyer persona and marketing should be adapted accordingly. A precise understanding of their needs and preferences enables targeted campaigns that are more effective and therefore generate a stronger response in the respective target group.

14. local SEO

Local SEO is crucial for visibility in certain regions. Among other things, this includes a Google Listing. By optimising content, keywords and Google My Business profiles, companies can be found more easily in local searches. Entries in business directories and local reviews strengthen your presence in the local area. This is especially true for local services.

Mallorca photo shoot
Advertising photography Mallorca photo shoot on the island

15. loyalty programmes

Customer loyalty is crucial. Loyalty programmes and special offers for regular customers promote long-term loyalty. Returning customers should always be rewarded in order to strengthen their loyalty. Discounts and special promotions for public holidays are ideal for this. These measures not only strengthen customer loyalty, but also promote positive word of mouth and thus long-term success for your company.

16th Mallorca photo shoot

Although I am a photographer myself, I often lacked professional images for my own marketing in the beginning. I now have a good structure that means I always have images ready to share with my audience. Years of working with freelancers have shown that professional images in harmony with the brand skilfully emphasise its message. With our Mallorca photo shoot, for example, we have produced images that make a special impression on social media, websites and print media.

The key strategy to success lies in the variety of marketing options for the self-employed. I have used many of these options individually and then in combination until I have created my own recipe for success. From digital approaches like social media to offline tactics like event sponsorship, the range of options offers a rich field to strengthen any brand. Combining and customising these methods according to the target audience will help to develop an effective marketing strategy. All of these strategies can be rounded off and fully presented with a visual presentation as part of a Mallorca photo shoot.

Branding Mallorca - a path to success on social media
21 December 2023

Social media has become a vital tool for branding - a platform that goes far beyond mere presence. In this era of digital interactions, branding on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn has become an art form that requires clear identity, authenticity and interaction. In this article, I show the essential strategies for successful branding on social media with the support of Branding Mallorca.

In recent years, I have accompanied countless self-employed people and companies on their journey to successful marketing. Through photo shoots Branding Mallorca and Frankfurt, we have built distinctive brand identities together that are consistent across numerous social media platforms. From clearly defining the brand voice to creating a consistent visual presence, we dive into the five key elements that make the difference between an average and outstanding social media presence.

We will explore the importance of authenticity and storytelling, community interaction, consistent timing and visual appeal for successful branding. All of these elements intertwine to create a vibrant and distinctive impression on social media platforms.

1. clear brand voice and identity

A clear brand voice and identity is the key to branding success on social media. Precisely define your values, personality and style. Use consistent logos, colours, fonts and image styles to offer instant recognition to audiences across different platforms. Content should reflect the essence of a brand and speak directly to the target audience.

Authenticity is essential - backgrounds, success stories and plans need to be told in an honest and engaging way. The goal: to differentiate the brand from others through an authentic voice. A clear identity with a strong line creates trust and binds the community more closely to the brand by conveying a consistent and familiar brand image.

2. authenticity & storytelling - the key to branding Mallorca

In addition to a clear appearance, authenticity and storytelling are key elements for successful branding on social media. Authentic stories enable a deeper connection with the target group. Emotional storytelling gives the audience the opportunity to identify emotionally with the brand. A look behind the scenes shows the development process of a brand and tells the stories behind the products and services. A genuine, honest approach creates a strong bond and allows the target group to identify with the brand.

The following applies here: not the broad masses, but a specific target group should be addressed. This is a mistake that I often see self-employed people make. Instead of marketing content specifically to the target group with stories, they try to appeal to a broad target group. A good mix of 3 content pillars is ideal here: Personal stories, product and service details as well as educational content that offers the target group real added value in terms of knowledge from the niche.

3. focus on interaction & engagement

Content is important, yes. But what is even more important is active interaction with the audience. This is the only way to build trust and ultimately convert followers into paying customers. Interaction and engagement are crucial for strong branding on social media. Active participation and response to comments, feedback and messages are essential to positively influence the algorithm on Instagram and LinkedIn. Questions, discussions and the involvement of the community in the content create lively interaction. In interaction with the audience, future content often crystallises by itself - the more you engage with potential future customers, the deeper the understanding of what content they want.

Creating added value for the target group and encouraging active participation strengthens loyalty. Competitions, surveys or invitations to generate user content encourage participation. Continuous interaction not only creates loyalty, but also a sense of belonging to the brand, which leads to a loyal and committed community.

4. consistency in presence & scheduling

After uniform appearance, content and engagement comes the point where most self-employed people often fail: consistent presence and scheduling are fundamental to successful branding on social media. A well thought-out schedule for posts increases visibility among the target group. This has been particularly evident in my LinkedIn marketing. With 3 months of consistent presence, a stable and active community has formed within this short time, from which I regularly draw new customers. Targeted publications ensure a constant brand presence and thus increase reach.

The use of planning tools facilitates the structuring of high-quality content. Consistency here refers not only to time frames, but also to topics, tonality and visual elements. Most social media platforms allow insights into the activity times of the target group. Posts should be planned and adapted accordingly. By regularly sharing content at the optimal times, a sustainable presence is created. However, there is often a lack of visual components such as individual images that can be posted. What helps are photo shoots for branding Mallorca and Frankfurt. Why? Because we work together to create the graphic content for months of content on social media.

5. visual appeal with branding Mallorca

Visual appeal plays a central role in branding on social media. High-quality visual content, whether in the form of images, videos or graphics, captures the viewer from the very first moment. Aesthetically appealing elements that reflect the brand identity emphasise the brand message. Visual content should be informative and appealing in order to arouse the user's interest. Quality and originality are key elements to stand out in the competitive social media landscape.

The success of your brand on social media lies in the consistent application of these strategies. Authenticity, clear identity, interaction, timing and visual appeal form an unforgettable brand presence. Is your branding ready for the next level? With a branding Mallorca photo shoot, we'll let your brand shine in a breathtaking setting. Our shoots on the beautiful island emphasise the individual values of your brand and create content that you can use on social media for months to come.

3 personal branding tips

How to utilise the emotional impact of images for branding

Images are a powerful tool to evoke emotions and thus strengthen the core competences of a brand. As a company looking to improve its image and visual appearance, there are a few small hacks that can help improve the visual impact on an emotional level.

Leandra Weber Photographer on Mallorca

3 tips for more visibility

1. authenticity: Use images that reflect your corporate culture and values. Authentic photos of your team, your products and your customers create trust and engage your audience. Natural but high-quality, it is worth booking a professional photographer to skilfully capture even normal everyday situations.

2. emotional appeal: The human brain processes images much faster than text. Consciously working with imagery that evokes emotional reactions can be a decisive factor in marketing. Visual capture of iconic moments that tell a whole story should be the goal here. Facial expressions, widely recognised symbols and archetypes can be used. The right image can convey joy, trust or inspiration.

3. colour consistency: Developing a consistent visual style is essential. Consistent colours, fonts and image styles help to make a brand easily recognisable. Most important question: What effect should be achieved? Certain colours trigger certain reactions in the brain. Blue has a professional effect, red is stimulating and green is calming. The associations with colours can be consciously used in branding.

Emotions are a decisive factor in branding. Use images consciously to link positive emotions with your brand. A well thought-out visual strategy can sustainably strengthen your company on LinkedIn and beyond.

Marketing for introverts

How marketing works without showing your face

Let me start with an honest statement: I didn't like pictures of myself at all in the beginning. The idea of making myself the centre of my marketing didn't appeal to me at all - and so I developed other strategies. Marketing for introverts can be just as successful as for extroverts.

Marketing for introverts

5 tips for more visibility

  1. Content marketing: Concentrate on creating high-quality content. Blog posts, articles and informative videos can convey expertise without you taking centre stage.

  2. Social media: Use social media to distribute information about services or products. Relevant information, interesting statistics and inspiring quotes offer the target group added value and ensure that they keep coming back even without personal content. Simply because there is something to learn.

  3. Guest posts: Write guest posts for industry blogs or online magazines. This gives you the opportunity to share your thoughts and knowledge without showing your face. It also generates great traffic for our website!

  4. Email marketing: Send regular newsletters in which you keep your audience up to date with the latest news. This allows you to build a relationship with your subscribers and market your services without having to be present in person.

  5. Customer reviews: Use satisfied customers to gather compelling reviews and testimonials. Good recommendations are powerful marketing tools that use the face of others to make your point.

Introverts can market successfully by focusing on the strengths of their personality, creating high-quality content and using smart strategies to connect with their target audience without putting themselves front and centre.
